grace and truth

grace and truth
are not contrary
but complimentary
not opposites
but two parts of
a beautiful whole

they must be held
together in union

power and efficacy

grace without truth
is only pretense
a cheap nicety
civility at the expense
of substance and depth

in the hands of a child

one without the other
