joel 2:13

rend your hearts

and not your garments

to rend means

to rip in two

to tear apart

to see the fabric

fly and fray

to hear the violence

as the threads

are broken apart

what once was whole

is no more

yet in this case

it is not a garment

to be torn apart

but a heart

Lord, have mercy
